Ukrainians like to celebrate! Since a few years ago we have a Catholic Christmas, then a New Year, then an Orthodox Christmas, then an Old New Year (don’t ask!). We can even celebrate a Chinese New Year if somebody suggests that!
The first month of autumn is over, and it brought us… a break from the festival season, we guess. Which is actually not bad as despite the little amount of events, September opened to us tons of good music stuff!
August 2021 has been something special for us — Ukraine marked its 30th anniversary of independence, hooray! A lot has been achieved so far, and a lot is yet to come, including Ukrainian music.
After an eventful June 2021 we can finally confirm that the festival season has revived. Although the pandemic makes its own adjustments — all music lovers should be grateful even for the slightest chances to see their favorite musicians playing on stage as usual.
We crossed the equator of summer 2021, which is actually so far so good. The festival season continues, people slightly shift their focus from you-know-what and getting ready to celebrate the ‘season finale’.
