MEU September 23 newsletter

The autumn of 2023 stormed into our eventful lives, and we're excited to share all the hot news it has delivered. Our team was super busy attending the leading events in the European music industry, cross countries, share experiences, build new and strengthen existing connections within the music community. But let's take it step by step!

The stage was set, the music played, and students of our flagship capacity building project the Eastern European Music Academy from the Spring 2023 course embarked on an unforgettable journey at the prestigious Mastering Music Business conference, the largest international music business event in Romania! They delved into insightful 1:1 sessions with industry experts, forging valuable connections that will shape their futures. But the magic didn't stop there! We hosted a panel dedicated to the importance of education and a special reception, introducing MMB attendees to the Eastern European Music Academy and proudly showcasing our incredible project alumni.

We cherish a lot our enduring collaboration with Waves Vienna (Austria). For five consecutive years now, our collaboration has grown stronger, fostering a deep sense of partnership and community. This year, our project managers Marianna Tanska and Diana Dadonova were participating in the event as delegates. They delved into an enlightening conference schedule, listening session, and enjoyed thoughtfully curated artist showcases. All three days of the Festival have been filled up with wonderful meetings, hugs and cheers such as with European Radio Plugging, which supports Ukraine and its music by constantly pitching it to the European radio stations!

European Music Exporters Exchange analysed 29 music export organisations, looking at their activities, organisational structures, financing models, and role in establishing international careers. This is a huge initiative to track the impact of music export offices on the music industry development, the value they bring and resources it requires. We were very proud to contribute to this study and share our ways of working. Kudos to EMEE for making an amazing job! Check out the results here: link.

Not only European playgrounds, but also Ukrainian ones are on fire this fall. We are very happy to welcome foreign artists to Ukraine, and there are the concerts that will take place soon:
