From representing Ukraine on the international stage at Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg to a wave of autumn festivals at home and eight Ukrainian acts heading out on tour across Europe and North America.
Ukraine at Reeperbahn 2025: how it went
This year's Reeperbahn Festival was truly special for the Ukrainian music delegation. We are grateful to the festival team for the high-quality program, inspiring contacts, and warm support for Ukraine.
Our artists Kler and Brykulets performed to a full house at the Betty venue alongside international acts, while we hosted a Ukrainian Reception bringing together colleagues from across Europe — with special thanks to Karousel Music (UK) for joining forces with us this year.
Together with Music Estonia and Hamburg Music, we held a matchmaking session presenting five Ukrainian music labels, creating real opportunities for collaboration. On the conference side, Alona Dmukhovska (Head of MEU) and Kateryna Dmytrenko (CEO of ENKO Music label) joined the panel "Eastern European Wave: Is the Global Music Industry Finally Paying Attention?" — also moderated by Alona.
The Ukrainian delegation and showcase were supported by the European Union via House of Europe in cooperation with Music Export Ukraine, with logistics covered by the Ukrainian Institute.
See you next year at Reeperbahn!
Fusion Jams. Swing Live: 2-day educational intensive & jam session for musicians
Fusion Jams kicked off a two-day intensive on distribution and copyright as part of the SWING LIVE project. Led by experts from label pomitni — Prokhor Ruban (digital distribution) and Olha Snihir (publishing and copyright) — the program blended practical lectures with jam sessions, bringing artists closer to both the business and creative sides of music.
As one of our team members shared: "It felt like the perfect balance — learning the industry rules and then mixing it with a jam session and new acquaintances. A true boost for an artist!"
Ukrainian club culture at Creative Community Summit: top-tier experts from Ukraine and Berlin
In September, the Creative Community Summit brought together artists, promoters, curators, and creative industry representatives from Ukraine and Berlin. What made this edition particularly special was the arrival of Berlin's cultural community to Kyiv — a powerful gesture of solidarity and exchange in challenging times.
Over two days, participants explored inclusivity, new team roles in the creative sector, the future of club leadership, and the therapeutic role of electronic music. Workshops and panel discussions created space for meaningful dialogue and long-term connections.
The Summit highlighted once again how club culture can act as a driver of resilience and collaboration across Europe. The event was made possible with the support of Goethe-Institut Ukraine, Club Commission Berlin, and partners.
