Spring has finally arrived, and we look into our future with lots of hope and courage. The Ukrainian music professionals continue to fight at the cultural frontline, supporting musicians and volunteers in their struggle for life, freedom, democracy and human values. We are happy that these efforts have been noticed by the leading world media.

Rolling Stone AU/NZ correspondent Hugh Bohane interviewed six renowned Ukrainian musicians, who are helping to defend Ukraine on both the battlefield and the world music stage. Our project manager, Diana Dadonova, was delighted to provide consultation for the article. Dive into the incredible stories of how the war changed their lives: READ HERE

“Right now, one of the main challenges for us is to keep the conversation going, to keep the spotlight on Ukraine.” Last month, Music Export Ukraine expert and co-founder Dartsya Tarkovska was a speaker at the latest panel of ILMC dedicated to geopolitics. The new rules for the live events during the times of war, concerts for Ukrainian soldiers at the frontline, charity, challenges around international cooperation, — read the main points of the panel discussion at the IQ Magazine: READ HERE

On another note, Rolling Stone has featured the story of Musicians Defend Ukraine Foundation, highlighting their invaluable support of artists-turned-soldiers on the frontline: READ HERE

Wondering what will happen next month? Let's walk you through the most significant events featuring Ukrainian artists and music professionals.

  • On April 5th, our manager Diana Dadonova will be participating in the second edition of Europavox professional meetings in Bucharest. At the workshop "Highlighting Ukrainian artists", alongside the other culture representatives, Diana will share the vision of how cultural organizations can help to highlight the Ukrainian identity internationally. If you're in Bucharest, let’s meet for this vital conversation.
  • We are also thrilled to invite you to the first official Ukrainian showcase and reception at c/o pop Festival on April 29th. Save the date to say “Hi” to us at the Ukrainian reception, which will take place at 3 pm @ Bumann & Sohn. Our co-founder Alona Dmukhovska and project manager Inna Lytovka are looking forward to chatting! Following the reception, you will have a chance to listen to 3 outstanding Ukrainian artists: indie-pop band Disappeared Completely, minimal EDM gang Kurs Valüt and a Berlin-based electronic artist KEBU. It’s going to be such a blast!
