Ukrainian Projects

In October, we embarked on an exciting collaboration with the vibrant music community Porichka, hosting a networking event tailored for musicians and industry professionals. The event was held in the dynamic setting of the legendary Squat 17b bar (Kyiv), drawing in around 30 attendees.

It was unfolded in a speed networking format, providing a perfect platform for participants to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. Witnessing the birth of new partnerships and the buzz of creative synergy among the attendees was truly inspiring.

Adding to the success, we're proud to share that the event also served a charitable purpose. We raised 5,650 UAH, which will contribute to purchasing vital medicine for the 3rd Special Assault Brigade (SABr).

On September 23 we joined the celebration of Shum.Rave's 4th anniversary, marked by insightful presentations from industry experts, including our own project manager, Diana Dadonova.

Diana offered a compelling overview of the challenges and opportunities facing Ukrainian artists in 2023, emphasizing export criteria and international expansion. Joined by Evegen Honcharov of Dnipropop and Vlada Verhun from kontrabass promo, the event was a hub of insightful lectures and collaborative spirit.

This gathering not only celebrated Shum. Rave's milestone but also underscored our commitment to supporting the evolving landscape of the music industry.

On April 8th, our very own Dmukhovska and Diana Dadonova had the honor of delivering a lecture at the Neformat Conference in Kyiv, Ukraine! We were thrilled to share our knowledge and insights on the "Development of Ukrainian Music: Ideas and Possibilities", discussing new opportunities for Ukrainian musicians in 2023 and how they can thrive in the global music industry. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow music enthusiasts and exchange experiences on international music export. We're glad to see such events taking place in Ukraine, even in difficult times. It's a testament to the resilience and determination of the music industry, and we're proud to be a part of it!

Earlier same month Diana Dadonova, our esteemed team member, participated in the second edition of "What's Next for European Music?" at Europavox Bucharest on 5-6 April. Along with Vlad Yaremchuk (Music Saves UA, Atlas Festival) and Robin Locksley (Love’n’Joy), Diana shared her vision on the different kinds of support that are and can be implemented for Ukraine, as well as how cultural organizations can help establish Ukrainian identity on the international stage. In the ongoing fight for freedom and independence in Ukraine, cultural identity plays a crucial role, with many artists and cultural professionals actively involved. The mobilization of the European Union also extends to supporting artists outside of their country, cultural organizations in Ukraine, and preparing for the post-war recovery of the Ukrainian cultural and creative sector in the medium term.
