Independence Day of Ukraine on the 24th of August is glorified with the next free event from the ‘JAZZ KONTAKT’ series at Zenner summer garden. Show solidarity and discover the power of unity through music!
XJAZZ! in collaboration with Music Export Ukraine and FUSION present performances by New Brain Trio, DJ @allynx, @zenner.biergarten, and a jam session. New Brain Trio are the fathers of Kyiv’s acid-jazz scene, creating in jam band mode, inheriting the traditions of spontaneous improvisation of bands like Medeski, Martin & Wood, Kamaal Williams, Nerve, Mark Giuliana. The event is free of charge, but registration is obligatory! To take part in the jam session, please register here.

DTF Magazine published the story of three musicians from Copenhagen – Mama Snake, DJ TOOL, and Ezy – who visited Ukraine with a concert in June 2024. Mama Snake shared her impressions of a 5-day trip collected in her diary: “Art, music, and culture, in general, are still blooming in Ukraine, keeping the already strong identity alive. We also want to draw your attention to the publication in Metal Has No Borders of the rating of female representatives on the Ukrainian metal scene. The edition identified the four brightest vocalists of the metal bands – Ignea, 0%Mercury, Jinjer and Azathoth Circle.
Ukrainians never grow tired of embracing life and celebrating their freedom and independence. Brave! Factory – a festival of free music and art – starts on August 24 – the Independence Day of Ukraine. It will be held on the grounds of the Dovzhenko film studio in Kyiv. The line-up consists of 40 artists, a quarter of which will be foreign musicians.
