Other music conferences and events 2024

At the end of June, Music Export Ukraine along with other EMEE members from across the continent, participated in a networking mission to Reykjavík, Iceland. It was very insightful to learn how such a small country can nurture many great music talents, build the infrastructure, develop collaborations and attract music professionals to their recording studios via a 25% cash rebate system at Record in Iceland.
We had the pleasure of meeting colleagues from Iceland Airwaves Reykjavík Jazz Festival Iceland Sync Dark Music Days festival, WiseMusic I N N I publishing and label, Iceland Music Information Centre and visiting the amazing music venue Harpa tónlistar- og ráðstefnuhús / Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre and Reykjavik Orkestra studio.
Big thank you to our colleagues from Iceland Music and @leifurbjorns individually, who hosted such a diverse group and showed us the real beauty of Icelandic music! And to EMEE team for the continuous support of cooperation and growth of our music on the international level!
It was a great pleasure to attend EMEE Spring Forum in early April, where we had an chance to work with 20+ colleagues from around the continent on the topics of collaborative solutions for environment-friendly work and social inclusion in our export activities.
Besides, we had a great opportunity to extend our network, chit-chat with colleagues from Eastern and Central Europe and listen to great music at @tallinnmusicweek over the next couple of days. A big thank you to @music.estonia for being such a great host and to @europeanmusicx team for the great event!
In February 2024, our project manager Marianna Tanska rocked the second annual Swedish-Ukrainian culture forum Ukraine Vision. She joined the "Musical shifts: Ukrainian Musicians and Audience Evolution" panel with Daga Gregorowicz, Dana Vynnytska from DAGADANA, and Musikcentrum Öst Director Ragnar Berthling, moderated by United Voices Head Mansour Hosseini.
Marianna proudly shared stories of Ukrainian musicians, highlighting their evolving impact on audiences and dedicated efforts in cultural diplomacy. She discussed how Ukrainian artists creatively engage fans to support the military and civilians, believing this approach could inspire Swedish and European artists to contribute to local problem-solving.
Not to mention, Marianna attended DAGADANA's concert, enjoyed the masterpiece of Iron Butterflies movie, and wrapped up the weekend at a reception at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands honoring the film’s director Roman Liubyi.
A big cheers to Ukraine Vision 2024 for fostering cultural connections between Ukraine and Sweden and curating such a diverse and insightful program!
