Waves Vienna 2022. Austria
In 2022 Waves Vienna team successfully completed a crowdfunding campaign to organize an extensive Ukrainian program: presence at the conference, official reception, performance in the best city clubs, and thematic parties. We felt a great amount of support and were welcomed at the event. This year inudstry delegates enjoyed performances of three Ukrainian acts: Disappeared Completely, Ragapop, Kurs Valüt. We were also delighted to welcome everyone at our Ukrainian reception. Make sure to check photos by Patrick Münnich!
It was also important to cover a set of topics at the music conference. Alona Dmukhovska (MEU co-founder) covered the topic of Digital Music Distribution, while Marianna Tanska (MEU project manager) participated in the discussion panel dedicated to Music at the Times of Social Instability. Lastly, Tetiana Stadnyk (MEU project manager) became a part of jury board for XA Export Awards.
Thank you to Ukrainian Institute for the mutual work over the last couple of years and this special event, as our cooperation continues under ExtraSound programme.
We are also proud of our project manager Marianna Tanska who joined a wonderful team of Waves Festival this year! For a month prior the event Marianna participated in different components of the Festival: managing the launch of the Festival app, taking over the major website announcements, coordinating the production of “On the premises” section of the Festival, successfully booking two Vienna-based Ukrainian DJs for the Ukrainian party, and many more than that.
During the Festival Marianna with the help of volunteers made sure that all the conference events will pass smoothly for all the participants. The most important was the exchange of the experiences between Ukrainian and Austrian professionals, which definitely enriched both parties. This exchange is important part of the international cooperation which builds systematic and sustainable development both for Ukraine and the international community.
