The Great Escape in Brighton is renowned in the UK, and around the world, for being one of the best places to discover emerging music talent. In 2021 The Great Escape found itself celebrating its 15th birthday online. Dartsya and Alona, presenting Music Export Ukraine, took part in a panel discussion and a round table by invitation of British Council Ukraine.

Dartsya Tarkovska was participating in the panel discussion "FUTURE MUSIC WORLD: Connecting The Music World”. With the other leading music industry practitioners from Lebanon, Nigeria, and Indonesia, Dartsya discussed how musicians in their countries make money from their music-making, as well as the impact of digital in recent years – and COVID in the last twelve months – on the business of music within each of their regions. 

Alona Dmukhovska has been involved in TGE ROUNDTABLES: “The Future Of International Collaboration presented by British Council”. This session explored international perspectives on how successfully the music sector had pivoted to digital working during the pandemic. Questions about international relationships, collaboration, and exchange alive in the current moment, and what are the benefits and challenges of digital working were discussed.
