This fall we had some great activities connected to the Czech music market. First, together with Nouvelle Prague (CZ), we organized Czech-Ukrainian Media Exchange - a two-month project that connected Czech and Ukrainian Music Journalists to publish works about each other's markets. The project was possible as a part of Czech-Ukrainian Forum support.

Along with the exchange of journalist material, around 40 independent music professionals from Ukraine and the Czech Republic learned first-hand about each other's music markets and main stakeholders. They exchanged the best practices and the areas for growth, established new contacts for future cooperation and joint projects. The UA music market was explained by Dartsya Tarkovska and Alona Dmukhovska, co-founders of Music Export Ukraine, while Czech music industry was highlighted by Anna Masatova, creative director of Nouvelle Prague.

Through the media exchange project of the journalists, the general public in both countries learned about each-others culture and society through music. Independent local artists/bands from Ukraine and the Czech Republic were showcased in the partner country, receiving media coverage in another country, which positively influenced their professional growth. As a result of the project, the following publications took place:

In the fall of 2021, we finally got a chance to return to Nouvelle Prague - the first international showcase festival in the Czech Republic associated with a professional music conference focused on current topics of live music production. The goal of Nouvelle Prague is to create a unique platform for connecting the activities of musicians with professionals in the music industry, to support networking, sharing experiences between professionals from around the world, and showcasing new talents from home and abroad.

Our representatives, Tetiana Stadnyk and Inna Lytovka did an overview of the Ukrainian music industry and participated in the international networking session. They really enjoyed the stay and we hope to keep on building Czech-Ukrainian bridges in the future!
