In 2021 we were delighted to be a part of the digital edition of Global Toronto Conference together with our partners BLOK: Slavic Music Meet. Just to remind, Global Toronto is a music showcase and conference rooted in re-imagining a sustainable, equitable, and accessible future for the music sector. And this year, Global Toronto 2021 (GT21) was held online on June 14-18, 2021.

First, we shared some insights on the Ukrainian music market with the help of our experts:

• Alex Bondarenko (Editor-in-chief at LiRoom);
• Yurii Bazaka (Co-founder of Kontrabass promo);
• Dаrtsya Tarkovska (Co-founder of Music Export Ukraine);
• Veronika Grass  (Artist manager of MOTANKA band);
• Moderator - Mark Marczyk (Founder of BLOK)

After that, a breakout session took place, where we met international delegates and chatted together. During this part we were also joined by Ira Lobanok (Music Up school), Marichka Marchyk (creator of Folk Songs of Ukraine project) and Bill Smith (North American agent of Dakha Brakha and Dakh Daughters). And for dessert, everybody enjoyed the performance of our spotlight artist - KURBASY - who skilfully put the vibe of traditional music heritage in the modern arrangement.
