MUSIC SAVES UA

Music Saves UA is a non-profit fundraising initiative created by Ukrainian Association of Music Events to provide immediate humanitarian help to those who need it most right now in Ukraine. It concentrates on provision civilians with necessary supplies, evacuation efforts and supporting IDPs.

MUSICIANS DEFEND UKRAINE

Musicians Defend Ukraine is the charity foundation which was created by Ukrainian grassroot cultural organizations Shpytal Records, kontrabass promo and rock band Love’n’Joy. Its goal is to support Ukrainian artists who defend our country on the frontline, which became an exceptional peer-to-peer initiative in unified local music community.

REPAIR.TOGETHER

Repair.Together is a volunteer initiative which aims to restore the communities which suffered from the russian occupation. They organise clean-up raves to unite hundreds of young volunteers in dancing while rebuilding villages which were damaged from war the most.

MODULE

The art space Module in Dnipro is a cultural centre which was created to practise audiovisual art, had its own recording studios as well as a sound lab, a concert venue, DJ school and music label. In 2022, Module brought together activists who, with the onset of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine, have been organising charity concerts and volunteering. They sew plate carriers, first-aid kit bags, and knee pads and also repair vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

CATS ON MARS

Cats on Mars is a volunteer initiative which rescue cats from war-torn areas of Ukraine and runs a cat shelter in Kyiv. It was founded by Eugene Kibets, who is one of the biggest Ukrainian concert promoters and has brought about 500 concerts in over 12 years. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, he has put his past life on hold and prioritized the animal protection activities.

UNITED

UNITED is a charity fund which helps to supply tactical medicine kits to the national Armed Forces. It was founded by the Ivano-Frankivsk IT specialists and Kharkiv volunteers, including the vocalist of the legendary Ukrainian hip-hop band TNMK (Tanok na Maidani Kongo), — Oleksandr “Fozzi” Sydorenko.

CULTURE SHOCK

CULTURE SHOCK is an informal volunteer gathering of artists, cultural figures, and people with an active civic position from Kharkiv, led by the known Ukrainian musician, poet and actor Oleh Kadanov. They are supporting the military and humanitarian needs in the eastern regions. In addition, their volunteers Anya Hubanova and Max Pilaev also run an online support group for all Ukrainians affected by the war and in need of a safe space to share their experiences and receive support from other members. They also host a Cultural Podcast, which aims to reflect on life in Ukraine during the full-scale war.
